INSPIRED by the birth of Prince George, this year’s Armidale Choral Society’s Christmas celebration concert takes on a royal theme.
Conductor Anne Matley has chosen a repertoire that includes lullabies, English folk songs and a couple of pieces that take a light-hearted look at the kings and queens of England. Accompanied by Robyn Bradley, the concert will begin with a rousing rendition of Here’s a Health Unto His Majesty.
To be held at the Uniting Church on Sunday 24 November at 3pm, the concert will also feature Warwick Dunham playing the church’s beautifully restored pipe organ.
In this part of the program the Choral Society will perform a variety of Christmas carols.
The audience will be able to sing along with some of the carols.
Members of the Choral Society have enjoyed preparing for their last concert of the year and welcome all to come and listen to their performance.
As is the custom, the audience is invited to join for afternoon tea after the concert. Tickets are $15 and are available at the door.
