THE best cricketers from Northern NSW put their skills to the test in Armidale last week in the annual Walter Taylor Shield carnival.
Under-14 players from Armidale, Lismore, Hastings, Ballina, Tamworth and western Sydney took to the fields across four days.
The competition was closely fought, with Lismore taking honours over the Hastings side, who made the trip from Port Macquarie for the first time.
