ARMIDALE businesses are owed thousands of dollars after the New England Hotel was forced into liquidation late last year.
More than a dozen business owners in Armidale are out of pocket as a result of the pub’s collapse.
Wholesalers such as Coca Cola, Carlton United Breweries and Tooheys are also owed significant amount of money.
Creditor information obtained by the Armidale Independent, which is also owed money, does not list the amounts owing to each business, but it is understood New England Operations Pty Ltd owes more than $100,000.
Sydney-based firm Armstrong Wily has taken over as the liquidator for the hotel, which was being run by Daniel Rice.
The doors of the pub have been closed for several weeks.
