THE New England Girls’ School (NEGS) Blue Junior hockey team had two reasons to celebrate after winning the grand final in Sydney of the Independent Girls’ Schools Sporting Association defeating Pymble Ladies College one nil. They were undefeated throughout the competition with no goals scored against them. In total the NEGS side scored a massive 39 goals.
The girls also won their Grand Final in the local Armidale competition over the weekend yesterday defeating Ex Servies 5-2.
The team has worked tirelessly together under the leadership of captain Clare Askey and vice captain Tahlia Paul.
