A ROALD Dahl theme and fun activities enthralled more than 200 girls and their families at the annual PLC Armidale Junior School open afternoon last week.
Dressed up as any number of Dahl characters from Willy Wonka, to Oompa Loompas, the BFG, Matilda, The Twits and Esio Trots and more, PLC Junior School came alive with activity and excitement.
Students took great delight in preparing themselves and their classrooms for an afternoon of fun activities.
The audience was introduced to the world of the author Roald Dahl, and was absolutely captivated as the Junior School staff donned various outlandish costumes.
They entertained visitors by performing a number of humorous, short skits from each Dahl book.
Head of School, Mrs Debra Kelliher in her final year at PLC, played a starring role as Miss Trunchboll.
Head of PLC Junior School, Melissa Watters (aka Willy Wonka) commented that it was definitely one of the year’s highlights for both staff and students.
