ALL the glitz and glamour of ballroom dancing was on full display at the Ex-Services Club on Saturday night for Armidale’s Dancing with the Stars.
More than $40,000 was raised for the NSW Cancer Council through the fund-raising venture, which saw took some popular residents out of their comfort zone and onto the dance floor.
The stars strutted their stuff in front of 300 people, with dance sets ranging from rock and roll to classical.
Guests were also treated to performances from the Clontarf Boys and the Duval Dance Ensemble in between dances.
Anthony and Melissa Killen took out the judge’s choice award for best performance, while the couple was also the highest fund-raiser.
Armidale police officers Mandy Fairleigh and Cheryl Hall were the people’s choice winners after wowing the audience with their rock and roll dance with Philip Sandars.
