STUDENTS from Duval High flooded the Monckton Aquatic Centre last week for the school’s annual swimming carnival.
Competition was fierce between Duval’s four houses – Gardiner, McIntyre, Crane and Walker.
Deputy principal Dave Bieler said a winner had yet to be determined after a late thunderstom forced an early finish, with a number of relay events still to be staged.
“It was pretty close between a couple of the houses,” Mr Bieler said.
“The most pleasing thing was the behaviour of all the students and their enjoyment of the day.
“All the kids participated with the spirit of fair play.”
The age champions from Duval’s swimming carnival will compete at the upcoming regional finals.
