Armidale turns on the festive colour

COLOUR and a sense of community were forefront on Saturday’s Autumn Festival Parade.
All sections of the community were involved in the annual event, held in front of thousands of people in the Armidale CBD.
All the primary schools took part, while a large chunk of the business sector, including the University of New England, was also involved.
Betty Anderson and her husband John were travelling through Armidale on their way to Wagga Wagga and were impressed by the number of floats.
“We are from Gladstone in Queensland and we don’t have anything like this at home,” she said.
“The amount of people who come down and watch is amazing.”
