ARMIDALE’S world class produce will be showcased in a new episode of Lyndey Milan’s Taste of Australia, set to air on 7TWO Prime this Sunday.
The new series, supported by the State Government through tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, features the best food and wine in Australia.
Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall said the upcoming episode was a testament to the uniqueness and quality of the food and wine produced in Armidale.
“In this week’s Taste of Australia episode, Lyndey cooks a Peach Melba under the shadow of the University’s Grand Chancellery, stops by at award-winning Milly-Hill Lamb, and poaches some lamb in vine leaves picked at Peterson’s Guesthouse,” he said.
“It is fantastic that Lyndey Milan chose our region to feature on her new series, and I encourage the Armidale community to tune in on Sunday to watch the show.”
Minister for Tourism and Major Events George Souris said regional NSW produced some of the finest foods and wines in the world and this was demonstrated in the Taste of Australia New England episode.
“I congratulate the Armidale food and wine industry for attracting one of Australia’s most recognised food and wine personalities to the region, demonstrating the calibre of NSW produce to the world,” Mr Souris said.
“This is a great opportunity to reach a large national and international audience.
“As well as airing on 7TWO, the series is already being broadcast in New Zealand and on Qantas in-flight entertainment. It is also set to air in Croatia and on the Lifestyle Channel in Australia later this year.”
The show is scheduled to air at 1.30pm on Sunday on 7TWO Prime.
