JOE Makeham’s stranglehold on the Campus to City Canter continued on Saturday as the teenager blitzed his rivals in the annual Autumn Festival event.
The 16-year-old made it four wins in succession, defeating the field for line honours in the men’s event.
The Armidale School student also helped TAS to take school honours in the event.
Emma Garraway made amends for last year’s second placing by defeating PLC student Annaliese Harrington, who narrowly pipped her last year.
Harrington also won in 2012 and was third in 2011.
Participation numbers were again strong for the race, which started at the University of New England and finished at Civic Park.
