Whispers are swirling around town and cyberspace about the New England Regional Art Museum and an acquisition of an important painting by an iconic Australian artist. What is all this excitement about, exactly?
It seems that the Art Museum’s lips are sealed for now but all will be revealed at the NERAM Foundation Dinner on Saturday, June 23. Phillip Bacon, leading Brisbane art dealer and philanthropist, is the guest speaker at this not-to-be-missed fundraising event, which also celebrates the region’s exceptional food and wine. A live auction featuring all sorts of temptations, a week at a beach house hideaway and a landscape design for your garden among them, is also part of the evening’s festivities.
The NERAM Foundation was established in 2009 to support the sustainable and ongoing development of the New England Regional Art Museum. All donations and funds raised at the Foundation Dinner are protected as part of the Trust Capital and invested securely and only the income from those investments is disbursed to NERAM Ltd. The income from the Trust Capital is paid to NERAM Ltd to assist with programs and operations. Community support for the NERAM Foundation ensures the long-term survival of this most significant regional cultural institution.
