DUST went flying as bulls and broncs tried to buck their riders at the Armidale Rodeo on Saturday.
A good crowd watched as storm clouds threatened to put a dampener on the event, but the rain stayed away for the annual event.
Armidale Rodeo Association president Adam Hone said it was another successful year.
“The crowd numbers were down a little bit, but I think that was down to those storm clouds,” he said.
“Those that went had a great time.”
Tamworth cowboy Ty Parkinson won the open bull ride.
Mr Hone said the quality of stock provided by Malcolm Gill added to the quality of the rodeo.
“They all bucked pretty well, which made it a challenge for riders,” he said.
