IT’S ENTIRELY appropriate that Hunters & Collectors begin its eagerly-awaited national tour – the first since 1998 – on the upcoming Australia Day weekend.
Few Australian bands have made their mark in our live landscape like ‘The Hunnas’ did.
Their ferocious live performances forged a profound connection with audiences all around the country.
They were proudly and distinctly an Australian band, so when better to kick off their tour than the Australia Day weekend.
The band will perform at A Day on the Green at Geelong on Saturday, the first of 11 A Day on the Green events stretching across weekends until the end of March.
The tour includes a performance at Petersons Winery in Armidale on 1 March.
The band’s reformation was prompted by the release of Crucible – The Songs Of Hunters & Collectors, an album featuring 15 stunning tributes from the likes of The Living End, Birds Of Tokyo, Neil Finn and Eddie Vedder, and Paul Kelly accompanied by the 15 original H&C recordings.
Hunters & Collectors is renowned for its big sound and on this tour the band will again deliver its trademark powerhouse assault.
