Brownlie’s medal

ANDREW Brownlie’s efforts with bat and ball saw him crowned Armidale District Cricket Association’s best-and-fairest on Thursday night.
The City all-rounder had a fine season on the pitch, scoring 369 runs at an average of 33.55 and taking 28 wickets at 20.11.
Brownlie pipped Easts players Dean Moore and Sam Uphill for the coveted prize.
Moore and Uphill were the shining lights for Easts in the summer, carrying the side with bat and ball.
Moore was one of two players to make 500 runs in the season, scoring 504 at an average 42.
His skipper Uphill led the competition in wickets, snaring 36 victims at 14.4.
Michael Dawson made the most runs for the season, knocking up 564 at 47, inclduing a high score of 119.
