FOUNDATIONS have been laid for a purpose-built RSPCA shelter in Curtis Park.
A combined effort between the RSPCA, Armidale Dumaresq Council, businesses and community groups helped raise the funds for the structure, which will help host the monthly Adopt A Pet Days in the park.
Councillor Andrew Murat donated his time to design the structure and assisted with the building yesterday.
The council chipped in $9000 and waived fees for the project, while New England Mutual, Rotary groups and others chipped for materials.
