PARENTS and supervisors of learner drivers are being encouraged to attend an upcoming free workshop on how to provide the most effective driving practice.
The encouragement comes from Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall.
“The workshop is provided by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) and is designed to offer parents and supervisors hands on advice on how to deliver the best on-road experience for learner drivers,” Mr Marshall said.
“The two-hour workshop will include information about licence conditions for learner and provisional drivers, young driver safety issues and low risk driving.”
Mr Marshall said parents and supervisors of learner drivers played a crucial role in making the roads safer and that’s why RMS had developed this course to better support them.
“Parents and supervisors play a pivotal role in shaping young people’s driving habits and the course has been developed to help them do this job with confidence,” he said.
The Helping Learner Drivers Become Safer Drivers free workshop will be held at O’Connor Catholic College at 5.45pm on Wednesday 14 May.
Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 6650 1969 or online via www.etcltd.com.au/rms
