Armidale Dumaresq Council (ADC) wishes to communicate the opportunity of Newcastle Permanent’s Charitable Foundation funding application.
Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation is offering local not-for-profit and charity organisations from Armidale and Tamworth the opportunity to access grant funding for local community and charitable projects.
Charitable Foundation Chairman Michael Slater encourages all community-based organisations to come to the free workshop this Friday, August 26 at 10am at Armidale Ex-Services Memorial Club.
Organisations are invited to attend the free workshop that will explain how to apply for grant funding, what projects are suitable and eligibility requirements. Not-for-profit and charity organisations will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation team and network with other local not-for-profit organisations.
The Charitable Foundation supports a broad range of projects in the areas of health, culture and the arts, the environment, youth development, community education and employment and training.
“The Charitable Foundation has so far donated more than $270,000 to a number of projects in the Armidale and Tamworth communities. These projects include Art Alive which combines art and technology in the classroom, the Ten Minutes a Day young child-reading program, a new centre for Vision Australia in Tamworth, the Good Start Breakfast club in local schools, maintaining and protecting the Armidale Walking Track, purchasing a mini bus for Tamworth Family Support Services and the Good Sports program in local sporting clubs.
