Servies face finals test

EX-SERVICES will play Guyra for honours in second grade after stunning Hillgrove on Saturday.
Servies bowled excellent line and length at Lambert Park to restrict the Colts to just 5/118 from their allotted overs.
Then, in one of the biggest upsets of the season, their batsmen made light work of the run chase, passing Hillgrove’s tally with ease.
It sets up a mouth-watering clash with Guyra this Saturday in the grand final.
Guyra, which played in the first grade competition this year, will be hot favourites against Ex-Services, which only just snuck into the finals.
However, Services have the momentum after two stirring finals wins, while Guyra enters the match after a week’s rest.
The match will be played at Lambert Park from 12.45pm Saturday.

Colts step up
HILLGROVE Colts will play TAS Blue in the third grade grand final after TAS triumphed against Guyra in Saturday’s preliminary final.
A half century from Stuart Hutton (61) helped guide TAS to 8/141, while Guyra came up short in the run chase.
Three key wickets from James Fraser had the Spuds skittled for 114.
This Saturday’s third grade final will be played at Harris Park from 1.15pm.
