THE ARMIDALE branch of the Salvation Army will be able to respond to emergencies faster and more efficiently after it was given a new trailer by the Armidale Ex-Services Club.
The Salvation Army Emergency Services responds to bushfires, floods and other natural disasters.
The emergency services trailer doubles as a portable barbecue with the ability to continually provide meals to those who need them.
“Having this trailer will enable the Salvation Army to provide a professional response to cater for the required need of emergency personnel and affected individuals in disaster situations,” Lieutenant Ged Oldfield said.
“We are very grateful for this very generous donation and we would like to thank others who have given and spent many hours making this a reality.”
