Are you hosting or going to an afternoon tea? The Armidale Farmers’ Market is fast becoming the place for fresh baked goods, with an amazing range of sweet treats.
“Some of what is available is of such good quality that local cafes have started stocking it,” said Robert Gasparre from the Armidale Farmers’ Market.
“You can come down in the morning with your shopping basket and grab a coffee. Then take a leisurely wander around the market, choose a selection of goodies and have it all ready for afternoon tea, without having to slave away in the kitchen.
“Start with croissants, almond croissants, palmiers and brioche from Inverell, and then pick up local home-made fresh scones, brownies, red velvet cupcakes, gourmet rocky road, banana cake, sweet cherry pies, baklava, nougat, biscuits etc. The rice pudding cake is simply divine!”
