Inter-district ten pin bowling was in action recently, with Armidale hosting the Far Northern Zone of the Country Challenge Ten Pin Bowling competition which comprises competitors from the Coffs Harbour, Grafton and Port Macquarie districts, as well as Armidale.
The high level of bowling at the Armidale Indoor Recreation Centre on the weekend entailed six men’s and six ladies’ teams. The top placed teams will compete in the State Finals in the ACT in November. After the round in Armidale, the Armidale ladies and Armidale men are both in second place and the ladies are only two points off first. There are 14 more points on offer over the next two rounds.
