ST Joseph’s surf champions Ashlee Spence and Alyssa Lock have taken out the under-19 MR Shield Team final at Maroubra last week.
Ashlee, 17, who is in her final term of Year 11 at St Joseph’s College Banora Point, was also second in the Ohana NSW Junior State Surfing Titles, under-18 individual girls event.
Ashlee, who lives in Kingscliff and is coached by Josh Fuller and also trains at the High Performance Centre, will now represent her state and school in the national titles in Kiama later in the year, hoping to do one better.
A member of the Kingscliff Board Riders she will compete at the Maxum Women’s Pro ASP event on 21-22 September at Cronulla.
