THE Armidale Softball Association is about to kick off another season.
Due to the massive response and success of the 2011 and 2012 seasons, the next competition will commence on 12 October with games to be held every Saturday at North Armidale Sporting Complex.
“The success of last year’s competition was evident in Armidale Softball Association having many of its players representing their school and or region in some state based competitions,” President Fiona Blevins said.
“Other than representing our region, we found that most success came each Saturday when all the players were enjoying playing and learning some new skills.”
The 2013/14 season will cater for boys and girls aged 5-10 (tee-ball), boys and girls aged 11-14 (mod-ball) and softball for those ladies aged 15 years and over.
Expressions of interest are being sought once again for men (15 years and over) interested in playing a senior mixed competition.
Softball is a great social sport, and accepts all levels of ability and experience.
Expressions of interest are also being sought for people willing to get involved in coaching, scoring and umpiring. Please register your interest today.
Registration Days will be held at North Armidale Sporting Complex (Erskine Street) on Sunday 8 September and again on Saturday 14 September between 10am and 12pm.
If you are unable to attend but would like to register yourself or your child, please contact, Naomi Bassett on 0408 022 779, to obtain the necessary forms. For further details on Softball in Armidale, please call Fee Blevins on 0423 771 747.
