Banora Point local Laura Coulter has earned the honour of being selected for one of Australia’s softball squads.
Coulter made selection into the 2013 Australian U17 Girls’ squad following a strong performance at the Esther Deason Shield earlier this year, where Queensland won the overall competition for the first time since 2007.
The Esther Deason Shield U17 Girls’ Australian Championship is a competition that calls for top state teams from across the country to compete for the winning title.
The Australian U17 Girls’ squad will be provided with training and development opportunities through strength and conditioning programs, Australian development camps and state-based training camps throughout the year, with the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s most experienced Softball identities.
Coulter is 1 of 25 Queenslanders who have recently been selected for various Australian softball teams and squads.
