Representative football comes to Kingscliff

THE best rugby league players from around South East Queensland will be on display at Kingscliff this weekend starting on Friday night.
The Cudgen Club is set to host the three-day South East Queensland Chairman’s Challenge Series of representative matches.
“The Hornets Club is very proud to have been chosen to promote the matches at Ned Byrne Field, Kingscliff,” club football manager Graeme Lawrence said.
“The matches will be played between the representative regions of Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast and will be played in the under-20 and open divisions.
“No rugby league will be played in these regions over the weekend as the Queensland Rugby League take their representative matches very seriously.
The Cudgen Hornets will be represented in the under-20 division by centres Jake Sands and Zac Spring and fullback Jayden Johnson. All three play in the Hornets A Grade side.”
