Four days of competition across 12 sports concluded at the 2011 Northern University Games in Armidale last Thursday, with Bond University taking home the Jodie Martin overall champions trophy.
The University of New England won the Population Cup, awarded to the university that performs the best, based on their per capita results.
Queensland University of Technology was awarded the Ron Leahy Spirit of the Games trophy, for their sportsmanship both on and off the sporting fields and courts.
Athletes from the 11 competing universities have returned home and will next compete at the Australian University Games, to be held on the Gold Coast from September 25-30.
