ARMIDALE will host a Member Protection Information Officer workshop on May 5 as part of a new integrated training program for this key sports administration role.
The MPIO Training Course has recently been revamped and is now offered online and through a face-to-face workshop.
Sport and Recreation spokesperson, Gaylene Ryan, said the new course format was aimed at making it an easier, more participant friendly activity but still having that essential interactive “classroom discussion” component.
The MPIO Workshop, will be held at the Harris Park Clubhouse, Kirkwood Street , on Sunday, May 5 from 9am to 1pm.
It costs just $25 per person and bookings are essential, closing on May 1. Early enrolment is strongly encouraged in order that the first part of the overall training course can be completed prior to the workshop.
