Interclub win for Armidale SSAA

Armidale SSAA Branch members won the Inter Club Trophy by a margin of 216 points competing against the Highland Hunting and Target Club at Glen Innes on Sunday September 18.
Nine members travelled to Glen Innes for the shoot with Mitch Tallar, Alan Johnston and Mark Tallar coming in with the first three places respectively and Zachary Wheeler winning the prize for junior shooter.
Thank you and congratulations to all members who participated in the shoot as well as thank you to the Glen Innes Club for their hospitality at this well run shoot. Everyone enjoyed the day and look forward to a return visit by Glen at Armidale next March.
Last weekend a 50m Hunter Rimfire Benchrest event was held on Saturday afternoon, September 17 with Custom and Traditional Class shot.
In the Custom Class Joy Harrison came in first with a score of 250.12, followed by Megan Wheeler 249.09, Norm Wheeler 248.06, Graham Casey 242.04 and John Harrison 236.05.
In the Traditional Class, junior member Karl Simpson shot well to win with a score of 221.
On Saturday afternoon, September 24 a Field Rifle event will be held with the gate opening at 1 p.m. and shooting commencing at 1.30 p.m.
