Cudgen Headland Nippers took on the waves at Byron recently and came home winners.
The Cudgen team finished the annual Byron Bay carnival with 280 points – almost 100 ahead of nearest rivals Lennox on 181 with home team Byron on 177. Teams from Salt and Cabarita also attended putting in some great results with Salt scoring 100 points and Cabarita 62 points at the carnival which included eight Far North Coast teams.
The event is a good lead up for the competitors who now have a lot of representative carnivals to look forward to, culminating in the NSW titles at Kingscliff in March.
