Kingscliff Hockey Club will go back to grass roots to celebrate 50 years weekend.
All grades from D1 right through will turn back the clock and play at home on the grass fields
They will hit off in the morning at 8.30am starting with the Minkey and Modified, Juniors, all the way through to the Seniors.
The match of the day, D1M will start at 3.35pm.
It will be a chance to come along and watch the club’s rising junior stars and maybe future Kookaburras and Hockeyroos.
Kingscliff Hockey is in good stead for another 50 years as the numbers with the Juniors are strong.
KHC also have good numbers in the Senior ranks with eight teams.
The celebrations will continue into the night with a 50th Anniversary Dinner at Cudgen Leagues Club beginning at 6.30pm.
The event will include past and present members of the KHC and promises to feature a lot of laughs and memories and reminiscing about the good old days and how the game of hockey has changed over the years.
