Motorcycle Club Season Opens

In keeping with its commitment to provide junior riders with opportunities to further develop their skills, the Armidale Motorcycle Club (AMCC) will hold its annual coaching clinic and “Kick Start” for new riders at “Bannaweera”, Uralla, on Sunday, February 3 to open the 2013 riding season.

Under the guidance of AMCC’s Motorcycling Australia accredited coaches and the club’s senior riders, the junior riders will be put through drills to hone the fundamental skills required by all good riders – throttle, cutch and brake control – which, when mastered, sees speed follow quickly and safely.

Coaching will be conducted on the racetrack, enabling riders to hone their skills under the conditions in which they compete. Junior riders are reminded that they must undertake annual coaching to maintain their Motorcycling NSW accreditation to compete.

The AMCC prides itself on being a family friendly club, catering for riders of all abilities. New junior riders, from four to 15 years of age, are encouraged to attend to complete the “Kick Start” introductory coaching to enable them to participate in club rides throughout the year. Over 50 junior riders regularly attend rides during 2012.

New and current junior riders wishing to complete in “Kick Start” or coaching programs must contact Lee Marshall on 0427 620 442 to book.

The Armidale Motorcycle Club gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the Press Family for hosting the riders on their property “Bannaweera”.

The 2013 season calendar and other details can be found on the club web site – www.amcc.asn.au.
