Minister ambles in

NSW Health Minister Jillian Skinner was in Armidale last Friday to inspect the progress on the new ambulatory care and chemotherapy centre currently under construction in the grounds of the Armidale Hospital.
The $6.7 million new ambulatory care centre, which now includes construction of an additional floor, will see all community-based services move together into the facility.
“It’s wonderful to be here today in Armidale to see progress on the new ambulatory care and chemotherapy centre, which will provide enhanced care for patients and their families,” Mrs Skinner said.
“Additional funding for the extra floor was crucial to ensure continued links and continuity among these services and I have no doubt Armidale Hospital’s ambulatory care centre will be a trend-setter for health care in NSW.”
Construction on the new building is set for completion in mid-September this year.
