A YOUNG Kingscliff musician is spreading the musical word and giving teens a place to both play and watch music.
Alex Varudo, 18, and the rest of his band AFEX are currently organising a youth and family music event for the Kingscliff Community Hall on August 25.
The event will feature nine local acts (most still at school) and is called the AFEX Winter Warm-Up.
Meanwhile AFEX themselves will get a “warm-up” of their own for their Kingscliff gig, playing the Coolangatta Hotel on 9 August and the Hive in Brisbane the next night.
