Brought to you each fortnight by the staff from the Armidale Dumaresq Council War Memorial Library
DID you know that the library is a wonderful place to bring your children? As well as exciting holiday activities, library staff run several fun-filled programs in term time.
All classes are free and materials are provided.
They include “Ten Minutes Per Day” classes for babies and toddlers aged 0-2 years. This program runs four times a year and can be booked ahead online or by calling the library.
There is the ever popular Storytime with 3D paper craft every Tuesday morning in school term-time. This includes music and singing with tons of fun and delight for preschool children ages 0-5 years.
After-school activities include Minigami 3+ and Origami for 5+. Come along and try stretching your fingers with paper-folding fun. New to the library are the “Zentangles” doodling classes – perfect for kids and young adults who like to express themselves on paper, or who just like dabbling with colour and pens.
Encouragement and support is provided, and the library is a great space to meet and make friends.
Doodling brings out creativity in children and young adults, and even mums, dads or grandparents. Graphic or Manga style drawing is perfect for boys and girls who like to create their own comics or action stories. Who knows, they might create the next super hero or start to feel like one themselves.
While you are in the library you can stock up on wonderful story and fact books and inspire a lifetime of learning and fun reading with the whole family at home.
