Some of Australia’s best-known sports people rubbed shoulders with local business people last week as part of the 8th annual Salt Surf Lifesaving Club fundraiser.
It was a chance to enjoy some tales, tall and tru, as well as enjoying the best the Saltbar has to offer.
Of course the day had a serious side – raising money for the area’s newest surf club. This year’s event took on special significance, with the club announcing they are officially starting to prepare for their own club house. A barometer, measuring the funds needed, was unveiled and Tweed Coasters will be able to keep up with just how much has been raised and how much is needed.
