The University of New England paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of the Armidale Visitor Information Centre volunteers at Booloominbah last month.
The historic homestead is one of the stops on the visitor centre’s weekday tours with volunteer guides sharing the history of the University with visitors.
Chief Operating Officer Peter Enlund said the volunteers are great advocates for the town including the University and it was important to show the guides the University’s appreciation.
“We want to thank the volunteers for sharing the history of the University with visitors to Armidale,” Mr Enlund said.
Volunteers were treated to an afternoon tea and were given a gift bag as a small token of the University’s appreciation.
