A new Service NSW “one-stop shop” is expected to be open at Tweed Heads South within the next month according to State member for Tweed, Geoff Provest.
Mr Provest said in anticipation of the opening, a new animation had been released to provide a preview of the enhanced services residents and businesses will receive from the centre to be located in Rivendell across the road from KFC.
“It will soon be much easier for residents and businesses in the Tweed to complete a range of NSW Government transactions – with a new Service NSW centre due to open at the Daily News building in Rivendell Drive,” Mr Provest said.
“We know people want easier access to government services, faster service and a single point of contact – that is what the new centre at Tweed Heads South will provide.
“This new animation shows us the state-of-the art design and technology which will reduce queues and move people in and out of the new centre as quickly as possible.
“At the new Tweed Heads South Service NSW centre, people will be able to renew a driver’s licence, apply for a fishing licence, register a boat, apply for a birth certificate or get an owner builder permit – all in the one building.
“Service NSW centres will allow people to complete more than 800 transactions and services currently offered by Roads and Maritime Services, Fair Trading and Births, Deaths and Marriages all in the one place with the range of services increasing over time.
“The new centre will be open from 7am until 7pm during the week and from 9am to 3pm on Saturday.
“Customers will also be able to make appointments to come to the centre at a time that suits them.
“Next month we also launch a new 24/7 phone service where people will be answered by a person, and a new user-friendly website to help people easily access NSW Government services.”
The centre will be one of 18 service centres opened across the state before the end of the year.
