The Lions Club of Terranora Lakes recently welcomed four new members into their club.
New Lions include Carmel Jones, Kim Baldwin, Bruce Campbell and Deneese Rice, who have expressed an interest in contributing to their local community through our Lions Club.
Zone Chairman Lion Cheryl Nylund drove up from Burringbar to perform the induction ceremony during which the new members were presented with a new member kit and their Lions dinner badge.
Lion Cheryl spoke to the new members and their sponsors who had undertaken to monitor them and reminded them of the responsibility to take part in the projects and administration of their club and to participate to the best of their ability.
In welcoming the new members, President Lion Peter Maroney thanked them for their commitment and promised to find a role for them. He added that there is a place in a Lions Club for all who are interested, whether they be younger and looking for a physical challenge or retired with years of administrative skill that is being underutilised.
