This year’s RSPCA Million Paws walk aims not only to get people out and about having fun with their four-legged friend but also raising money.
Walks will be held in 25 locations around NSW, with Jack Bayliss Park at Kingscliff being the focus for local celebrations.
In fact you don’t even have to be a dog owner to participate with everyone invited to join the pack on Sunday, May 15 and walk with tens of thousands of people and pets to help raise vital funds for the RSPCA and the animals in their care.
The local Tweed chapter of the RSPCA will hold a special fundraiser this year as part of the Paws Walk – they’re auctioning vets. Okay they’re not actually auctioning vets but many of the vets from Coolangatta South throughout the Tweed to Mullumbimby have
given vouchers.
RSPCA have 10 vouchers to be auctioned off on the day. The vouchers include de-sexing of a dog or cat, vaccinations and several vouchers for products and services to the value of $100 and $50 – just what the doctor ordered for your pet.
The Auction will start at around 10.15am with Maggie Ann from Bam Promotions, comparing for the day and acting as auctioneer.
As it is Tweed’s first vet voucher auction, the RSPCA are hoping everyone will get involved and help raise much-
needed funds.
