Armed robbery probed

INVESTIGATIONS continue into an armed robbery at the 7 Eleven Service Station on Minjungbal Drive Tweed Heads South.
Tweed Heads detectives are appealing for help following the incident on Thursday, May 30 at 3.20am.
Police allege two unknown male offenders wearing black clothing and gloves, carrying knives entered the 7 Eleven Service Station, HomeMart Centre, Minjungbal Drive and threatened a 37-year-old male attendant.
The two offenders threatened the victim with the knives and assaulted him, pushing him into the corner of the service area where he was forced to open the cash register.
Once the cash register was opened one of the offenders removed the cash drawer from the cash register. Both men left the store, running into First Choice Liquor store carpark.
The first man is described as male, 20 to 25 years old, fair complexion, 185cm tall, medium build, wearing a black beanie, black jumper, light grey or blue jeans. This man was covering his mouth and nose with a piece of black material and was armed with a large black-bladed knife (approximately 50cm long).
Offender two is believed to be male, 18 to 20 years old, fair complexion, 165cm tall, thin build, wearing a black full face balaclava, black long-sleeved top, and grey shorts. This person was armed with a black bladed knife approximately 25cm long.
