MEMBER for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall has urged local councils and community groups to apply for the 2014 Community Building Partnership (CBP) grants.
Applications are due to open later this month, on 19 June.
Mr Marshall said he was keen to continue the practice, already well established locally, of doubling or trebling the NSW Government’s $300,000 social infrastructure funding with local matching grants and in-kind support.
“This scheme has delivered many excellent outcomes in our region because councils and the community have grasped the opportunity to leverage from the state funding,” he said.
“A strong component of voluntary labour has also been involved.
“It’s certainly one of the most successful government schemes because it represents such great value for money and such positive results for communities.”
