After hosting respected ABC broadcaster Kerry O’Brien with a soldout performance at the TAS Hoskins Centre, the Armidale Friends of the ABC presented Judith Ross-Smith a $3000 cheque towards the Armidale Civic Precinct Project.
“We feel it is really important for the Armidale community to support the Armidale Civic Precinct Project, and we were only too happy to contribute with our fundraising through the Kerry O’Brien night,” said President of the Armidale Friends of the ABC, Bruce Hansell.
“We had a great night with Kerry O’Brien and he was such a gracious person to come and visit us.”
Armidale Friends of the ABC will be celebrating their 80th birthday with a special event planned in the conference room of the Wicklow Hotel on November 22, from 6pm.
