The New England Outdoor Recreation Expo has a new home and a new partner, joining forces with the Armidale Antique Machinery Club’s annual Machinery Rally and Heavy Horse Field Day to be held at the Armidale Exhibition Centre November 9-11, 2012.
To be known as the New England Outdoor Recreation Expo and Antique Machinery Rally, the exciting new venue and partnership is a positive step for the Rotary Club of Armidale North who are anticipating a bumper three days of outdoor fun.
“We have joined forces with the antique machinery boys so that we can make the show more productive and enticing for the community to come and have a look; getting more bang for your buck when you come through the gates,” said Ged Oldfield President of the Rotary Club of Armidale North.
“We have moved venues and now the expo is all undercover. We were out in the open before and in previous years we were against it with the rain, so this time we are all undercover.
“As usual, there will be a huge selection of caravans and campervans, 4wds, camping equipment and accessories, plus returning this year will be the popular fishing demonstrations from the massive fish tank, rides for the kids, petting zoo and of course the Machinery Rally and Heavy Horses will have demonstrations all weekend. Graham Betts Caravan & Marine Centre has once again come on board as the major sponsor, with other sponsors including McDonalds Armidale, Hubbard Party Hire, Armidale Ex-Services Club and New England Mutual.
“The committee is looking for exhibitors to be involved in the Outdoor Expo and is encouraging business and organisations from the outdoor recreation industry to get involved in this exciting new phase for the Expo.
“We are looking for people to get in contact with us,” said Ged.
“We have sites of various sizes and prices and we are encouraging businesses and organisations to get in contact with us so that we can help them get involved with the expo.”
