When Scott Barbary graduated from Macquarie University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Chiropractic, little did he know where his career would lead him.
He worked first in Griffith in southern NSW before moving north, firstly to Cairns and then finally about as far north as you can get – all the way to Scotland.
For the past six years he and partner Kate Moon have been working in Glasgow and, although both admit it was a lot of fun, and Scott was able to attend a lot of chiropractic seminars and learn from highly skilled Chiropractors from all over the world, Kate said they’d both decided it was time to “come home” to Australia.
Now as a certified practitioner in Advanced Biostructural Correction, Scott has opened the doors on his new consulting rooms at 26 Minjungbal Drive, South Tweed after he and Kate decided that Tweed was the perfect place
to settle.
“I have treated people of all ages, from children to the elderly, suffering all sorts of conditions,” Scott said.
“I am passionate about using the skills I have learned overseas to help the people of Tweed Heads and the surrounding area.
“Chiropractic is fantastic for treating conditions such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, arthritic pain and many others. As a drug-free solution to these conditions and more, it is worth coming in to see if we can help you too.
“Our doors opened on Monday, May 30 and as a family-run practice, our focus is on offering local people a high quality service and creating genuine relationships with our local community,” Kate said.
As well as specialising in Chiropractic, their clinic will grow to become a multi-disciplinary practice offering Massage, Acupuncture, Natur-opathy and Counselling.
They are very excited to meet and improve the health of the Tweed community
“As an opening special we are offering an initial consultation, examination and a treatment (if required) for $35 if you mention this editorial,” Scott said.
