The 2011 winners of Channel 7’s “My Kitchen Rules’ were energetic Sydney sisters, Sammy and Bella Jakubiac. They were the celebrity guest chefs for a very special birthday function in Armidale recently, which marked the 50th birthday of Sally Spooner and also served as a house warming at the “Eagle Hen’ Estate.
Hosted by Peter and Joy Howe, the mouth-watering evening was considered a magical experience by all involved. Sammy and Bella’s gourmet two-course meal was served up in a picturesque setting; inside a marquee on an established garden, adjacent to grape vines.
The menu included seared tuna nicoise with black olive tapenade, green beans, roasted capsicum and quail eggs as one of the entrees and Sammy and Bella’s famed Tawny and Orange glazed ham, with sides of tomato harissa and seeded mustard as one of the mains.
