A group of mums from all over the Tweed Valley and beyond converged on Plantation House, Duranbah on Saturday for a bit of rest, relaxation and pampering.
The mums, daughters and grand-daughters were there to take part in Invitation Cuisine’s first Mother’s Day high tea and pamper session.
Organiser Jenny Zwemer of Invitation Cuisine at Plantation House said they had a lot of support from local businesses to put the event on, including the Tweed Coast’s own Madura Tea, Rachel’s Hair Salon in Wharf Street Tweed, Tropical Fruit World (who supplied all the amazing jams for the scones) and local Nutrimetics representative Courtney Colefax.
The event, from 11pm to 2pm, saw up to three generations of some families sipping champagne and enjoying a high tea as well as taking part in facials and having their hair done.
