ARMIDALE Four Seasons Rodeo began in 1992 and has grown enormously over the years to be one of the premier events on the rodeo calendar.
The success of the event has been due to the support of the community and the many businesses who have sponsored events, trophies and chute gates.
Every year the Armidale Four Seasons Rodeo gives back to the community by donating to a number of local community groups including the Armidale Hospital, SES, A.B.C.R.A Rodeo Hall of Fame, Martin’s Gully Public School and this year to Uralla SES and the Armidale Men’s Shed.
Last week Armidale Four Seasons Rodeo president Adam Hone presented the Armidale Men’s Shed with a cheque for $500.
“There is a lot of hard work each year organizing the rodeo; we are only a very small committee,” Mr Hone said.
“We have some marvellous sponsors who enable us to put on a great event and through their continued support we are able to donate some money back to community groups like the Men’s Shed.”
Armidale Men’s Shed spokesman Richard Tromp said donations were always warmly welcomed and would go a long way to helping the shed with its running costs.
“It is greatly appreciated and we’ll find a worthwhile use for the funds so thank you on behalf of the Men’s Shed to the Armidale Four Seasons Rodeo,” he said.
The Armidale Four Seasons Rodeo will be held on 16 and 17 November at the Armidale Showground.
