115th Philippines Independence Day celebrations

A CELEBRATION of national pride as well as family bonding and activities with friends and relatives marked the Independence Day celebrations led by members of the region’s Filipino community at the weekend.
The festivities at the Armidale Town Hall celebrate 115 years since June 12, 1898, when revolutionary leader Aguinaldo led the declaration of Philippine independence from the Spanish colonial rule.
