A large crowd turned out for a night out at the movies in Armidale last Friday night. The Newcastle Permanent Cinema Under the Stars was again a huge community event, with live music and northern inland junior football among the pre-movie entertainment. The free outdoor movie event was staged in Curtis Park, on the Armidale Creeklands. A truly family atmosphere was achieved, with the feature presentation being animated hit “Rio”.
CEO of sponsor, the Newcastle Permanent Building Society, Terry Millett said that Cinema Under the Stars is one way that the largest building society in NSW likes to give back to this community. “It was a wonderful night.”
