Kingscliff will play host to not one but three major functions on Friday.
On Friday afternoon, Mal Meninga, Queensland State of Origin coach, and AFL and lamb-selling legend Sam Kekovich will be guest speakers at the Salt Surf Lifesaving Lunch.
The seventh annual lunch will raise money for the surf club and will be held at the Saltbar Beachbar and Bistro. For further information contact the Saltbar.
At Babalou from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, Board Walk Books will present the second of their literary events.
Following on from their successful lunch with John Howard, this time Babalou and Board Walk have combined to bring Kaz Cook for a chat and Q&A about her new book ‘Women’s Stuff’. The event is free but, for further information, contact Boardwalk or Babalou.
And to top off a busy day, Kingscliff Primary School will hold a family movie night at the school. The night kicks off at 5pm with the annual final of the Kingy Idol talent quest with the movie, Journey to the Centre Of The Earth, starting at 7pm on the school oval. Tickets are available from the school at a cost of $25 per family or $10 for an adult and $5 for children.
